Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi 18 Fold, a shorter and wider book-style foldable packing the company’s latest XRING O3 processor, a 6,000mAh battery, and a 200-megapixel Leica-branded main camera. It starts at CNY 10,999 (about PHP 103,000) in China.
The phone pairs a 5.38-inch outer display with a 7.58-inch folding screen, both using 120Hz LTPO panels. Despite the large battery, the Xiaomi 18 Fold weighs 219g and measures 5.02mm thick when unfolded and 10.68mm when closed.
Inside is Xiaomi’s 3nm XRING O3, its latest in-house flagship processor with a 10-core CPU and 16-core GPU. Higher-end versions also use LPDDR6 memory supplied by Chinese chipmaker CXMT, while storage goes up to 1TB.
Xiaomi has also given the foldable a Leica-branded triple-camera system. The 200-megapixel main camera is joined by a 50-megapixel ultrawide and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto offering 3.5x optical zoom. Two 16-megapixel cameras handle selfies on the outer and inner displays.
Its 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery supports 67W wired and 50W wireless charging. The phone ships with HyperOS 4 and is available in China in configurations ranging from 12GB RAM with 256GB storage to 16GB RAM with 1TB storage. Chinese sales began on September 10.
The Xiaomi 18 Fold is offered in Nishino Red, Black, and Warm Gold White, alongside a higher-priced Ceramic Special Edition.
There is no official Philippine price or release date for the Xiaomi 18 Fold. Xiaomi has also yet to confirm a wider international rollout, meaning the device remains a China-market model for now.
