TCL has expanded its gaming monitor lineup in the Philippines with the 27P2A and 25P1AD, giving buyers a choice between a higher-resolution Mini LED display and a smaller model built around a faster refresh rate.
The TCL 27P2A has a 27-inch QHD display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution, Mini LED backlighting, and a 200Hz refresh rate. TCL lists 600 nits of peak brightness, 99% sRGB color coverage, and a 1ms gray-to-gray response time.
Its Mini LED backlight is divided into 84 dimming zones, while TCL’s TMOC Motion Clarity technology is designed to reduce motion blur during fast movement. The monitor also supports AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible for variable refresh rate gaming.
The 25P1AD has a 25-inch display with a native 280Hz refresh rate that can be overclocked to 300Hz through the monitor menu. TCL notes that stability at 300Hz can vary depending on the hardware.
TCL rates the 25P1AD for a 0.5ms MPRT response time and up to 400 nits of peak brightness. It also covers 93% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and supports AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible.
Both models use TCL CSOT’s HFS high-speed panel technology. In practical terms, the lineup separates the two models mainly by display priorities: the 27P2A offers QHD resolution and Mini LED backlighting, while the 25P1AD trades resolution for a higher maximum refresh rate.
The Philippine launch announcement did not include pricing for either monitor.
