TECNO will launch the CAMON Slim 5G in the Philippines on October 1, bringing its 6.39mm-thick smartphone with a 6,000mAh battery to the local market. The company has not yet announced its Philippine price.
The phone uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300e 5G chipset with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage on the locally previewed model. TECNO also supports up to 16GB of extended memory, while the 6,000mAh battery charges at up to 45W.
The battery is one of the bigger changes from the 4G CAMON Slim. TECNO’s specifications for that model list the same 6.39mm thickness but a smaller 5,600mAh battery and faster 60W charging, along with a MediaTek Helio G200 Ultimate processor.
On the front, the CAMON Slim 5G has a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. Its rear camera system consists of a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 700C main camera with optical image stabilization and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, while the front camera uses a 32-megapixel sensor.
TECNO also lists IP68, IP69, and IP69K water and dust protection for the model being shown in the Philippines. The display supports Rain Touch for operation when wet.
The CAMON Slim 5G ships with Android 16 and HiOS 16. TECNO is promising three major Android version upgrades and five years of security support.
TECNO is also bringing the MagBadge, a companion accessory with a 1.73-inch OLED display. It can show a live preview from the phone’s rear cameras and work as a remote shutter from up to 10 meters away, among other functions. The accessory is set to make its Philippine debut on September 29.
TECNO has yet to disclose the CAMON Slim 5G’s Philippine price and detailed local sales availability ahead of its October 1 launch.
