vivo has launched the X500 series in China, introducing three flagship phones with new MediaTek processors, camera-focused upgrades, and batteries ranging from 6,510mAh to 8,000mAh. The lineup consists of the X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max.
The X500 starts at CNY 5,499 (about PHP 51,000), the X500 Pro at CNY 6,499 (about PHP 61,000), and the X500 Pro Max at CNY 6,999 (about PHP 65,000).
The X500 and X500 Pro Max went on sale in China on September 24. The X500 Pro follows on September 29.
The standard X500 uses MediaTek’s 3nm Dimensity 9600M. The X500 Pro and Pro Max move to the Dimensity 9600 Pro, which MediaTek manufactures on a 2nm process and equips with a 2+3+3 CPU configuration.

The cameras remain one of the main differences between the three models. The X500 uses a 50-megapixel main camera, 64-megapixel telephoto, and 50-megapixel ultrawide. The X500 Pro keeps the same resolutions but uses vivo’s Blueprint Imaging 900 sensor for the main camera and a 3.5x telephoto lens.
The X500 Pro Max replaces the 64-megapixel telephoto with a 200-megapixel ZEISS APO telephoto camera. It also supports vivo’s separately sold 200mm-equivalent G2 and 400mm-equivalent G2 Ultra telephoto extenders.
vivo is also emphasizing video on the Pro models. The X500 Pro series supports 4K 240fps slow motion, 4K 120fps subject tracking, and 10-bit vivo LOG recording. vivo says the Blueprint Imaging 900 sensor can capture up to 17EV of dynamic range.
Battery capacity varies considerably despite all three phones supporting 90W wired and up to 40W wireless charging. The X500 has a 7,500mAh battery, the smaller X500 Pro has 6,510mAh, and the X500 Pro Max increases capacity to 8,000mAh. All three run OriginOS 7 in China.
Philippine pricing and availability remain unannounced as of September 25.
