vivo will launch the V80 Lite in the Philippines on October 4 with a 10,000mAh BlueVolt battery, the largest battery capacity the company says it has used in a smartphone.
The launch is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Market! Market! by Ayala Malls. vivo has also confirmed three colors for the phone: Afterglow Pink, Emerald Green, and Dawn Black.
The 10,000mAh battery uses vivo’s fourth-generation silicon-anode technology. The company says the design allows it to increase battery capacity without the additional bulk normally associated with batteries of this size.
vivo claims up to 30 hours of video streaming, 30 hours of TikTok playback, 68 hours of calls, and 14 hours of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang gaming in separate single-app tests. The tests were conducted under controlled laboratory conditions at 25±2°C with the phone starting at a full charge, so actual battery life will depend on usage and other conditions.
The company also says the battery can retain at least 80% of its capacity after 1,400 full charging cycles. vivo estimates that this is equivalent to roughly seven years of use based on a laboratory-simulated pattern of about 1.83 days for each full charge and discharge cycle.
The V80 Lite has a 6.83-inch display with 1.35mm bezels and a claimed 94.47% screen-to-body ratio. vivo’s latest Philippine announcement focuses on the phone’s design and battery capacity ahead of its October 4 launch.
