Samsung has begun rolling out the stable version of One UI 9 to the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, expanding its Android 17-based software to more devices after its debut on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Z Fold8, and Z Flip8.
The rollout started on September 16, according to Samsung. The announcement was also published through Samsung Newsroom Philippines, although the company says availability of individual features can vary by country, region, device, and carrier.
Among the more noticeable additions is My FanCam, which can track a selected person in a recorded video and automatically reframe the footage to keep them centered. Now Brief also gains generative and editable cards, allowing users to customize the information shown in their daily summaries.
Samsung has also expanded Now Nudge, which provides context-aware suggestions based on what a user is doing. Other improvements cover Creative Studio, Interpreter, Document Scan, and Voice Recorder, while a new Warranty and Care section in Settings can surface device diagnostics, warranty information, repair estimates, and service options where supported.
On the security side, One UI 9 adds Security Brief notifications for issues such as malware, unknown-source apps, and unnecessary permissions. Privacy Alerts can also use on-device AI to flag potentially unnecessary background permission access. Samsung’s expanded Scam Detection, however, is currently listed for Japan, Canada, and India rather than the Philippines.
One UI 9 first entered beta testing for the Galaxy S26 series in May before Samsung expanded the beta to devices including the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold7, and Galaxy Z Flip7 earlier this month. Samsung says the stable update will gradually reach additional Galaxy devices.
