Nothing has launched the Headphone (1) Pro, its most advanced over-ear headphones yet, with Philippine pre-orders opening October 1 at PHP 25,490.
The headphones cost USD 399 (about PHP 25,000) globally, USD 100 more than the Headphone (1), which launched at USD 299.
According to Nothing’s local announcement, pre-orders will run through Digital Walker, open_source by Beyond the Box, the Nothing PH Shopee Mall, the Digital Walker website, and Digital Walker’s Shopee Mall store.
Select Beyond the Box stores, the Nothing PH Lazada Mall, Digital Walker’s Lazada Mall, and the Digital Walker TikTok Shop will follow at a later date.
Each earcup has three drivers: a 40mm dynamic driver for bass, a precision dynamic driver for vocals and instruments, and a solid-state xMEMS driver for treble. Nothing lists a 20Hz to 40kHz frequency range.
The company tuned the headphones with London’s Metropolis Studios and added a physical switch that turns on a neutral Flat EQ.
Nothing says the noise cancellation reaches up to 46dB using 10 microphones and a new silicone seal in the earcups. The Headphone (1) is rated at up to 42dB with six microphones. Nothing describes 46dB as a theoretical maximum from its lab tests.
Battery life goes down. Nothing rates the Headphone (1) Pro at up to 68 hours with ANC off and 30 hours with ANC on over AAC, compared with 80 and 35 hours on the Headphone (1). Five minutes of charging gives up to 4 hours of playback with ANC off.
The headphones use an aluminum frame with titanium arms that Nothing says are 45% lighter than the Headphone (1)’s, and weigh 327g. They support Bluetooth 6.1, LDAC, and lossless USB-C audio at up to 24-bit/192kHz, and carry an IP52 rating.
