JBL has launched the Pulse 6 in the Philippines, along with 15 other audio products, including the first speakers in its Cove Wi-Fi multi-room line.
JBL Store PH lists the Pulse 6 at PHP 19,999, though the speaker was marked sold out as of September 27. The store also lists the PartyBox 330 at PHP 35,999.
Besides the Pulse 6 and PartyBox 330, it includes the PartyBox Ultimate 2, three Cove speakers, two Cinema soundbars, six true wireless earbuds, and two Quantum gaming headsets.
Tech Patrol, citing JBL’s product cards at the event, reported that the PartyBox Ultimate 2 costs PHP 99,999, the Cove P1 PHP 24,999, and the Cinema SB550MK2 PHP 16,999. Gizguide reported the Quantum 520 at PHP 7,199. JBL hasn’t announced local pricing for the Cove M1 and X1, the Cinema SB510MK2, the earbuds, or the Quantum 120.
The Pulse 6 keeps the series’ 360-degree lightshow and adds an illuminated handle. It has a 30W woofer and 10W tweeter, Bluetooth 6.0, lossless audio over USB-C, IP68 dust and water resistance, and up to 12 hours of playtime.
Sunset Mode dims the lights over a countdown of up to 60 minutes in the JBL One app. Double-tapping the speaker turns on a soft glow as a bedside lamp. The Pulse 6 can also link with other JBL speakers over Auracast.
Cove is JBL’s new whole-home Wi-Fi audio system. The Cove M1 is the compact model, the Cove P1 is portable with a battery rated for up to 14 hours, and the Cove X1 is the flagship, with four tweeters and two woofers. The P1 and X1 support Dolby Atmos.
The speakers support AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, and Roon Ready. A Moment button moves music to the speaker in the room you’re in, without a phone.
Cove speakers also work with JBL’s Bar Series MK2 soundbars. Harman says only the Cove M1 and P1 can act as rear channels at launch, while the X1 pairs with the soundbars for multi-room music only. Alexa+ support is limited to the US.
JBL says the PartyBox Ultimate 2 delivers 1500W, over 36% more than its predecessor. Tech Patrol reported that it adds a touchscreen top panel, Wi-Fi audio, and built-in AI vocal removal for karaoke. The PartyBox 330 offers up to 18 hours of playtime and inputs for JBL’s EasySing mics.
The Cinema SB510MK2 is a 200W soundbar with a built-in subwoofer. The SB550MK2 is a 3.1-channel, 360W bar with a separate wireless subwoofer. Both support SurroundPlay, which uses a pair of JBL portable speakers as wireless rear channels. The Flip 7 is the only compatible speaker at launch.
The Tune Beam 3, Tune Buds 3, and Tune Flex 3 have adaptive noise cancelling, six microphones for calls, and up to 48 hours of total playback. The Tune Flex 3 can switch between open and sealed ear tips.
The Wave 3 earbuds offer up to 40 hours of total playback. The Wave Beam 3 and Wave Buds 3 have active noise cancelling, while the open-style Wave Flex 3 uses active noise reduction.
The wired Quantum 120 works across multiple platforms, while the wireless Quantum 520 offers up to 37 hours of playback. Both have a detachable 6mm boom microphone.
The lineup will be sold through JBL Store PH, JBL Philippines’ official site, and authorized dealers.
