Huawei is bringing the Watch D3 to the Philippines in October, updating its blood-pressure-focused smartwatch with a slimmer design and a new option for less-disruptive 24-hour monitoring. Reservations opened September 25 ahead of the local rollout and October promotional periods.
The Watch D3 measures blood pressure using an inflatable mechanical airbag built into its strap, together with a pressure sensor and Huawei’s TruSense system. Its ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, or ABPM, feature takes periodic readings during the day and while the wearer sleeps, then provides daytime, nighttime, and 24-hour averages for systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
Huawei has also added what it calls a Minimally Disruptive ABPM Study. The mode requires at least four manual blood pressure measurements during the day and automatically takes at least three measurements overnight, producing a 24-hour average with fewer cuff inflations. Huawei says users need to wear the watch for at least seven hours during the day and four hours overnight for the study.
The company cautions, however, that this reduced-measurement feature is not intended for medical use and that its results should not be used for diagnosis or treatment.
The Watch D3 is not Huawei’s first smartwatch with 24-hour ABPM in the Philippines. The Watch D2 launched locally in 2024 at PHP 19,999 with ambulatory blood pressure monitoring already among its main features.
For the new model, Huawei has reduced the body thickness to 11.3mm and increased the display to a 1.92-inch AMOLED panel with up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. The company says the strap is 7.5g lighter and the watch is 15% thinner than the previous generation. Battery life is rated at up to six days under typical use, dropping to up to one day when ABPM is enabled.
Other health features include pre- and post-exercise blood pressure measurements, ECG, pulse-wave arrhythmia analysis, sleep tracking, and Health Glance reports. The Watch D3 also supports more than 100 workout modes, Bluetooth calling, and both Android and iOS phones.
From September 25 to October 1, customers can place a PHP 500 deposit through the Huawei Online Store to unlock PHP 6,000 off their purchase. Huawei’s October 2 to October 31 offer combines a PHP 2,500 voucher with an additional PHP 3,000 discount, while Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop buyers can get PHP 4,000 off from October 2 to October 10.
