Motorola is still holding back several key specifications for the motorola signature 27, but its first preview has confirmed two major upgrades: Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera.
The company showed the second-generation Signature phone at Snapdragon Summit on September 22. Motorola has not announced its price, exact release date, display, battery, charging specifications, or memory configurations. It expects the phone to reach markets worldwide in 2026, but Philippine pricing and availability have not been announced.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 is its new top-tier mobile platform and uses a 2nm manufacturing process. Motorola pairs the chip with its ArcticMesh cooling system, which uses diamond-infused thermal gel, liquid metal, copper mesh, and a redesigned 3D vapor chamber. Motorola says the cooling system is 40% larger than the previous generation.
For cameras, Motorola has confirmed a 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 main sensor and a 200MP periscope telephoto. The telephoto supports up to 100x Super Zoom Pro using generative AI, while the camera system combines Qualcomm image stabilization with 3.5-degree optical image stabilization.

The signature 27 is also the first Motorola smartphone with Audio by B&O following the company’s multi-year partnership with Bang & Olufsen. It has an aluminum body with a camera housing finished in ceramic and brushed aluminum. PANTONE Coal Smoke uses Motorola’s Tactical Weave texture, while PANTONE Capulet Olive has a brushed textile-inspired finish.
Motorola is committing to seven OS updates and up to seven years of security updates from the global launch date. The company notes that support can vary by market, network provider, or model.
The original motorola signature, introduced in January, used the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom. The move to Qualcomm’s higher-tier Extreme chip and a 200MP periscope are therefore two of the clearest hardware changes in the new generation.
The “27” also starts a new naming system for the series. Motorola says future Signature generations will use the final two digits of the coming year.
