Samsung has reportedly started mass production of the Exynos 2700 for next year’s Galaxy S27 series, with South Korean publication The Elec reporting that the lineup will add a fourth model called the Galaxy S27 Pro.

The Exynos 2700 production target is more than 10% higher than that of the Exynos 2600, partly to supply the additional model. The report says the Galaxy S27, S27+, and S27 Pro will use the chip in South Korea and Europe, while Qualcomm processors are planned for markets including the US and China.

The Pro is expected to sit between the S27+ and Ultra. Earlier ETNews reporting pointed to a 6.47-inch display, while Chinese certification records list 60W wired charging for the SM-S9570 model associated with the phone.

Those certifications also list 25W charging for the SM-S9520, believed to be the Galaxy S27, and 45W for the SM-S9560, associated with the S27+. The SM-S9580 linked to the Galaxy S27 Ultra supports 60W.

The Ultra could receive bigger changes elsewhere. Battery certification information points to a rated capacity of 5,534mAh, which could be marketed at around 5,700mAh typical capacity.

ETNews has also reported that Samsung plans to drop the Ultra’s dedicated 3x telephoto camera. The reported rear setup consists of a 200-megapixel main camera, 50-megapixel ultrawide, and 50-megapixel 5x telephoto camera.

The publication said the Galaxy S27 Pro is planned with a 200-megapixel main camera, 50-megapixel ultrawide, and 12-megapixel 3x telephoto camera.

Samsung’s processor plans for the Galaxy S27 Ultra remain unresolved, according to The Elec. There is also no reliable information yet on whether Galaxy S27 models sold in the Philippines will use Exynos or Qualcomm chips.
