Huawei has launched the Mate 90 series in China, introducing five flagship variants with new Kirin processors, larger batteries, and an optional modular camera system on its highest-end models. The standard Mate 90 starts at CNY 5,999 (about PHP 56,000), with sales beginning October 1.
The lineup includes the Mate 90, Mate 90 Pro, Mate 90 Pro Max, Mate 90 Pro Max Collector’s Edition, and Mate 90 RS | ULTIMATE DESIGN. The Mate 90 uses the Kirin 9030, while the Mate 90 Pro moves to the Kirin 9035. Mate 90 Pro Max configurations use the Kirin 9050 or 9050 Pro, with the Collector’s Edition and Mate 90 RS using the 9050 Pro.

All five models run HarmonyOS 7 in China.
The Mate 90 and Mate 90 Pro have 6.75-inch LTPO OLED displays and 6,600mAh batteries. The standard model supports 66W wired charging, while the Pro increases that to 100W. Both support up to 50W wireless charging.

The Pro Max and RS increase the display to 6.9 inches and use dual-layer LTPO OLED panels. They have 6,800mAh batteries with up to 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Huawei gives the Pro Max and RS a 50-megapixel variable-aperture main camera, 40-megapixel ultrawide, and 200-megapixel telephoto camera with 4x optical zoom. The standard Mate 90 instead has 50-megapixel main and telephoto cameras alongside a 40-megapixel ultrawide, while the Mate 90 Pro uses a 50-megapixel telephoto macro camera.

The Mate 90 Pro Max Collector’s Edition and Mate 90 RS can also connect to Huawei’s new XMAGE Z10 modular camera. The accessory has a 1-inch-type sensor and a 24mm-240mm range with 10x continuous optical zoom. It costs CNY 5,999 (about PHP 56,000) in China.

China pricing starts at CNY 6,999 (about PHP 66,000) for the Mate 90 Pro, CNY 9,499 (about PHP 89,000) for the Mate 90 Pro Max, CNY 10,999 (about PHP 103,000) for the Pro Max Collector’s Edition, and CNY 12,999 (about PHP 122,000) for the Mate 90 RS.
Huawei has not announced Philippine pricing or availability for the Mate 90 series. There is reason to watch for a local release, however: the Mate 80 Pro debuted in China in November 2025, before arriving in the Philippines in April 2026 at PHP 69,999. The local release only covered the Mate 80 Pro.
