Sony has released the WH-CH730N noise-canceling headphones and the entry-level WH-CH530 in the Philippines, priced at PHP 8,999 and PHP 3,999, respectively.
Both are on sale at Sony Centres and Sony authorized dealers nationwide, Sony Philippines said on its Facebook page. The two models replace the WH-CH720N and WH-CH520, and Sony announced them globally on September 7.
The WH-CH730N is an over-ear model with Sony’s Dual Noise Sensor noise canceling and a new foldable design. It weighs about 207g and uses 30mm drivers.
Sony says the headphones last up to 50 hours with noise canceling on and up to 75 hours with it off. The WH-CH720N was rated at up to 35 hours with noise canceling on.
The WH-CH730N supports Bluetooth 6.0, LE Audio, multipoint connection, Fast Pair, and Swift Pair. It has a 10-band equalizer with Game EQ presets, and Sony says its Precise Voice Pickup system uses beamforming microphones and AI noise reduction for calls.
In the Philippines, the WH-CH730N comes in black, white, blue, beige, and pink.
The WH-CH530 is an on-ear model without active noise canceling. Sony rates it at up to 55 hours of playback, up from 50 hours on the WH-CH520, and says a three-minute charge gives 1.5 hours of listening.
It has AI noise reduction for calls, a five-step maximum volume limit, multipoint connection, Fast Pair, Swift Pair, and LE Audio support. Local colors are black, white, cobalt, mint, pink, and coral.
Sony will also release the WH-1000XM4C, a refreshed version of the WH-1000XM4 with a 10-band equalizer and updated sound tuning, in the Philippines from October 30. Its Philippine price hasn’t been announced, however.
