Jobstreet by SEEK has introduced seekAi for employers in the Philippines, expanding the hiring platform’s use of artificial intelligence to include candidate targeting, applicant ranking, pre-screening, and automated reference checks.
The company says seekAi draws on more than 25 years of employment-market data and more than 750 million candidate and employer signals collected across Asia-Pacific each day.
Its Personalised Targeting system learns from a company’s role requirements, preferences, and previous hiring activity to identify candidates who may be a stronger fit. Jobstreet says the feature can connect employers with candidates who are up to five times more likely to apply.
The other major component is Assist, which Jobstreet describes as an AI hiring partner built into its recruitment workflow. Assist can rank applicants against an employer’s criteria, recommend next steps, conduct pre-screening, and handle reference checks.
Not every Assist feature is available with every job ad type.
What changes for job seekers
For job seekers, the most noticeable change may be AI Pre-screen. Jobstreet’s product terms describe it as a structured set of screening questions delivered through an AI-guided conversation after an employer sends an invitation.
Completing the pre-screen is optional.
Where the voice option is available, the employer receives an AI-generated written summary confirmed by the candidate, rather than a verbatim transcript of the spoken responses. Candidates who choose to type have their written answers sent directly to the employer.
Jobstreet’s Philippine privacy policy says voice recordings used for AI Pre-screen are collected with the candidate’s consent, then transcribed and summarized for the employer.
SEEK also cautions that AI-generated hiring outputs may contain errors or be incomplete. Employers, it says, remain responsible for decisions to shortlist, interview, hire, or reject applicants.
AI already in use
The rollout comes as AI becomes a growing part of recruitment in the Philippines.
Jobstreet’s Hiring, Compensation & Benefits Report 2025 found that 39% of Philippine companies surveyed were using AI tools in recruitment, mainly for tasks such as writing job ads and screening candidates. The report’s Southeast Asia edition put adoption across the region at 27%.
