OpenAI’s new USD 500 ChatGPT Pro tier costs PHP 32,490 a month in the Philippines, putting its most expensive personal plan at the extreme end of a lineup that now starts at just PHP 300.
ChatGPT Go costs PHP 300 a month, while Plus is PHP 1,100. The Pro lineup starts at PHP 6,490 for Pro 100, rises to PHP 9,990 for Pro 200, and then jumps to PHP 32,490 for Pro 500.
That makes Pro 500 more than 108 times the price of Go, nearly 30 times the price of Plus, and more than three times the price of Pro 200.
The tiers are aimed at very different users. Go is OpenAI’s entry-level paid plan, with more messages, image generation, memory, storage, and voice chats than the free tier, but it may include ads. Plus adds higher-end intelligence, larger projects, Codex, Work, email and calendar connections, and more storage.

Pro 500 is not really a plan for someone who simply wants more casual ChatGPT conversations. OpenAI positions its Pro plans for people who rely heavily on its models throughout the workday, and the main feature exclusive to Pro 500 is Astra Ultrafast in ChatGPT Work and Codex.
Work is designed for longer research and deliverable tasks, while Codex is OpenAI’s software-development environment. Ultrafast provides a lower-latency service tier for GPT-6 Astra in those products, making the PHP 32,490 plan particularly relevant to developers and other professional users running large amounts of AI-assisted work.
OpenAI says Pro 500 has the highest included usage of its three Pro tiers. Buying additional credits on Pro 100 or Pro 200 does not unlock Ultrafast.
Even among expensive high-usage AI subscriptions, the Philippine price stands out. Anthropic’s Claude iOS app lists Max 5x at PHP 7,990 a month and Max 20x at PHP 14,990. On the website, however, you can only subscribe over USD prices.
Anthropic says Max 5x provides five times the usage capacity of Claude Pro per five-hour session, while Max 20x provides 20 times the capacity. Both include higher usage limits, priority access during periods of high demand, and access to Claude Code.
The comparison is not quite exact because OpenAI and Anthropic measure and enforce usage limits differently.
The Philippine price becomes even more striking over a full year. Twelve months of Pro 500 costs PHP 389,880.
For scale, the Philippine Statistics Authority estimated the average annual income of a Filipino family at PHP 411,350 in 2025. A year of Pro 500 is equivalent to about 95% of that amount, although the comparison is better understood as a measure of how expensive the plan is in the Philippine market than as a reflection of its intended customer.
