Alibaba has launched Qwen Intelligence, a full-stack AI platform that smartphone makers can use to build assistants capable of planning and carrying out tasks across apps. HONOR is the first announced partner to adopt the platform.
Qwen Intelligence covers the stack from Qwen models optimized for mobile devices to a customizable agent platform and ready-to-use agents. Phone makers can use the complete system or integrate individual components into their own software.
The first release includes three agents. Mobile Planner Agent breaks complex requests into steps and coordinates the tools needed to complete them. Mobile-Use Agent performs actions across apps, using APIs when available and graphical interfaces as a fallback. Mobile Creative Agent handles image generation and editing.
For example, Alibaba said the planner can take a request to arrange a business trip and divide it into tasks such as booking flights, reserving a hotel, adding calendar events, and preparing an itinerary. The execution agent can then carry out supported actions across the relevant apps.
Alibaba and HONOR have also developed domain-specific models and smartphone features using Qwen Intelligence and HONOR’s MagicOS. Alibaba says HONOR phones using the architecture can reach task accuracy of up to 91.8% and coordinate workflows exceeding 100 steps.
The HONOR Magic9 series will be among the first devices to incorporate Qwen Intelligence. HONOR has scheduled its Magic9 series launch for September 28 in Beijing, and Alibaba said the HONOR Robot Phone will also use the platform.
A Philippine release for the Magic9 series has not been announced on HONOR’s local website as of September 25.
