Indian gaming hardware startup ARC has unveiled the X1, its first Android gaming handheld, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 Gaming Platform and a custom controller-focused operating system called OwlOS.
The X1 features a 7-inch 1920×1080 LTPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and more than 500 nits of brightness. It comes with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage, with microSDXC expansion of up to 1TB.
ARC has equipped the handheld with TMR analog sticks, Hall-effect triggers with mechanical trigger locks, microswitch face buttons and D-pad, two programmable rear buttons, and dual LRA vibration motors. An active cooling system draws air from the rear and exhausts it through the top.
Its OwlOS software is based on the Android Open Source Project and uses a controller-first interface. ARC says it supports native Android games and cloud gaming alongside features including per-game performance profiles, controller remapping, resolution scaling, an FPS overlay, and quick resume.
Power comes from a replaceable 9,300mAh battery with 27W USB PD charging. ARC claims more than eight hours of gaming under its specified conditions. The company also lists the joysticks and several internal modules as replaceable.
ARC will open reservations for its first batch on October 2. Early supporters on its waitlist can get the X1 for INR 29,500 (about PHP 19,000), while subsequent batches will be priced at INR 33,500 (about PHP 22,000). The company currently targets deliveries of the first batch in the first quarter of 2027.
ARC has not announced Philippine pricing or availability, so it remains unclear whether the X1 will officially reach Filipino buyers.
