Globe says its generative AI and machine-learning initiatives delivered PHP 1.2 billion in measurable business benefits as of August 2026, giving the telco a financial measure of how its growing use of AI is affecting its operations.
The company attributed more than PHP 825 million to incremental revenue from AI-powered commercial and customer initiatives. Globe said these include efforts to make offers and customer experiences more relevant across Globe Rewards, roaming, lending, and postpaid services.
Another PHP 368 million came from what Globe described as realized cost avoidance across finance, customer engagement, marketing technology, and order management.
Globe also reported more than 52,000 hours saved through AI-assisted productivity and automation, which it valued at PHP 28 million in productivity gains.
Based on what it called an initial enterprise measurement, Globe said the combined benefits represent a 2.8x return on its AI investments. The company did not disclose the total investment behind that calculation or provide details on how it attributed incremental revenue, avoided costs, and productivity gains specifically to AI.
“The real measure of AI is not how many people are using it, but what it actually improves,” Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz said.
The financial figures come as Globe expands AI use across the company. It reported enterprise AI adoption of 90% as of August, with more than 450 employees now part of its community of internal AI builders.
Globe had previously said in April that adoption of Gemini for Workspace had reached 90% as of January 2026.
